Fixing the Ram Guides
Here's a before and after of the ram guides on my press. I had bought the 1"x2" heavy bar to do this when I built the press, but figured it was overkill. I used 1"x 1/4" angle iron but the force of the press was pushing it around, especially when the ram was up high on the first welds of a billet stack. This little retrofit ended up taking me most of an entire day and a lot of drilling by hand so, next time I won't skimp on the initial build.
